China Adds Emergency Medical Materials Worth 10 Million Yuan toSupport Sierra Leone in Controlling Ebola
Mr. Xu Zhou, spokesman of
the Chinese Embassy announced in Freetown on Thursday, 8th August
that China will add a batch of medical materials valued at RMB
10,000,000 Yuan (equally 1,626,000 USD) to support the Government of Sierra Leone
in the prevention and control of Ebola.
Le 605 Million Added to Ebola Fund

As government
continues to demonstrate firm commitment towards the eradication of the Ebola
Virus Disease (EVD), the sum of Le 605 million cash donations from TELTAC
Africa, the local tourism sector and members of the Freetown Dinner Club on
Thursday 7th August were presented to President Ernest Bai Koroma at State
House.
GAMBIA COUNCIL OF IMAMS PRAY FOR SIERRA LEONE IN THE GAMBIA
The
Council of Imams in The Gambia led by its Supreme Boss, Imam Rhatib Khan and a
cross section of Gambian Muslim Jamat this morning Thursday August 7th
offered fervent Muslim prayers against the Ebola virus in Sierra Leone at the
Sierra Leone Embassy in Banjul.

response to His Excellency, President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma's call to the nation to stay
home for self-reflection and prayers against the deadly Ebola virus on Monday,
August 4th, 2014, Ambassador Alhaji Mohamed Sillah Kargbo, President
Koroma's envoy to Saudi Arabia, called upon his nationals in Riyadh to converge
at the Chancery.

Bar Association Presents New Executive with Le100 Million to Fight Ebola

As a form of
collective approach in the fight to eradicate the deadly Ebola virus disease
(EVD), the Sierra Leone Bar Association on Tuesday 5th August donated the sum
of one hundred million Leones (Le100, 000,000) to President Dr Ernest Bai
Koroma and also unveiled its newly elected executive at a quiet ceremony at
State House.
