The Special Representative of the Secretary General and Head of United Nations Mission on Ebola Emergency Response (UNMEER), Anthony Banbury accompanied by the Country Representative of UN Women Dr. Mary Okumu  last Friday, 3^rd October, 2014 assured the women of Sierra Leone of UN’s fullest support in the fight against the Ebola virus disease.

At a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Health and Sanitation on Monday 6th October, President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma officially presided over the discharge of forty-nine (49) Ebola survivors treated and cured by an all Sierra Leonean medical staff at the Hastings Treatment Centre.
