The embattled and self-destructive Special Executive Assistant to the President (SEA), Sylvia Olayinka Blyden, has plunged herself into further ridicule when she tried to counter a report in The Torchlight about her failure to deliver much-needed equipment solicited by Sierra Leone Nationals in Canada (SALNAM) and handed over to her for the Ministry of Health & Sanitation in the fight against the deadly Ebola virus that has killed scores of Sierra Leoneans and infected hundreds others.
· 118 patients have survived the disease and have been discharged from the treatment centers in Kenema and Kailahun.
SUNDAYJULY 27, 2014 –The Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ) has set-up anEbola Response Committee to support the national fight against the deadly Ebola virus that has so far claimed the lives of some 165 Sierra Leoneans since the outbreak was confirmed in May this year.
Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to The Gambia and Guinea Bissau, His Excellency Ambassador Soulayman Daramy, has in a show of diplomacy and professionalism, for which he is good at, called upon the Foreign Minister of The Gambia Hon. Aboubacarr Abdouliah Senghore to acquaint him and his government of the rapid developmental strives and economic growth Sierra Leone is going through and to further discuss on how to strengthen the bilateral ties existing between the two brotherly countries.
